A computer chess afternoon at TSV Rochade at the Kraaivenstraat in Tilburg which was held on September 20, 2009. The recordings were made by Rob van Son from Amsterdam. It was not a team match between chess players and chess computers, but just a pleasant and relaxing afternoon to introduce club chess players to computer chess. Of course, we did try to match the playing strength of the chess computers with the chess players as much as possible. That afternoon we succeeded very well. The Novag 2Robot that came on the market in 2008 also participated that afternoon. Recently I heard why they broke so quickly. I was told that when the 2Robot is turned on, it must first warm up. So the first five minutes do not set the robot arm in motion, otherwise the arm cannot lubricate itself properly! Too bad this important notice was never in the manual.
